Die Game Awards 2023 – Nominees verkündet

Am gestrigen Montagabend verkündete Geoff Keighley höchstpersönlich die Nominees für die Game Awards 2023. In einem zehnminütigen Video stellte Keighley die Games vor, die dieses Jahr um die Trophäen kämpfen.

Seit 2014 finden jedes Jahr im Dezember die Game Awards statt. Neben anderen Award Shows im Videospielbereich wie den Golden Joystick Awards oder nationalen Preisen wie dem Deutschen Computerspielpreis gehören die Game Awards zu den wichtigsten Auszeichnungen der Branche.

Dort werden Preise in 31 Kategorien wie „Best Independent Game“ oder „Best Community Support“ vergeben. Besonders begehrt ist dabei der „Game of the Year“ Award, der das beste Spiel des vergangenen Jahres kürt. Letztes Jahr durfte FromSoftware für Ihr Soulslike Eldenring die Trophäe mit nach Hause nehmen. In den Jahren davor waren schon Spiele wie The Last of Us: Part II oder God of War mit dem Preis ausgezeichnet worden.

Nach einem Jahr mit so vielen Blockbustern sollten auch die Game Awards 2023 eine spannende Show liefern.

Der Startschuss fiel gestern Abend um 18:00 Uhr deutscher Zeit mit einem Live-Stream auf YouTube. Bis 18:10 Uhr ratterte Geoff Keighley darin die Nominees der Game Awards 2023 runter.
