Nach dem weltweiten Erfolg von Sniper Elite V2 war der Nachfolger nur eine Frage der Zeit. Und jetzt ist der Termin dann auch amtlich: Sniper Elite V3 erscheint weltweit am 27. Juni 2014. Das Producerteam von Rebellion hat bestätigt, den dritten Teil für PC, Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox 360 und Xbox One auf den Markt zu bringen. Eine Version für Wii U ist (noch?) nicht geplant, obwohl Sniper Elite V2 auch für Nintendos neuer Konsole erschien.
Für Vorbesteller wartet der extra DLC „Hunt The Grey Wolf“. In dieser Mission folgt man Adolf Hittler und seinem Doppelgänger 1942 nach Libyen und muss sich im open world Setting zurecht finden. Hinweise werden gesammelt, Fakten analysiert und so muss der echte Hittler vom Double unterschieden werden.

In order to prepare for this mission, and that crucial final shot, OSS Agent Karl Fairburne must infiltrate the ancient streets and crumbling rooftops of the German-held town using stealth and distraction.
